Young Arts | Holiday Club July 2024
Arts University Plymouth’s Young Arts programme was established in 1988. Young Arts feature the university's renowned Saturday Arts Clubs and for over 30 years has worked to bridge the gap in arts provision for young people created by increasingly limited access to creative activity in schools.
<p dir="ltr">This four day holiday club covers your all favourite creative subjects in one big summer experience.</p>
<p dir="ltr">In this four day holiday club you will get to do;</p><ul><li>Painting, and you’ll create a finished artwork</li><li>Black and white photography</li><li>Mixed medium sculpture (individual sculptures will be brought together to form a group piece)</li><li>Detailed drawing</li><li>Printmaking</li><li>Textile Art creation</li></ul>
<p dir="ltr">On top of the main activities, each day will have short making activities for you to drop into to keep you busy all the time.<br /></p>
<p dir="ltr">There will be a pop up exhibition at Palace Studios at 3:15pm on Friday 26th July for friends and family to see the work you’ve created.<br /></p>
<p dir="ltr">No previous experience or skill level is required, the emphasis will be on trying a new technique and helping you to create fantastic outcomes. All materials are provided each day.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Age range is 9-15 yrs, so some activities will have different levels of difficulty to engage all levels of experience. You will be placed into age related groups (9-11yrs & 12-15yrs) so that you can be in a studio area with others your own age.<br /></p>
<p dir="ltr">If you are attending with a friend or sibling who is a different age, please let us know so we can keep you together.<br /><br /></p>
