Young Arts | Holiday Club (February 2025 Half Term)
Arts University Plymouth’s Young Arts programme was established in 1988. Young Arts feature the university's renowned Saturday Arts Clubs and for almost 40 years has worked to bridge the gap in arts provision for young people created by increasingly limited access to creative activity in schools.

In this art filled February Half Term Holiday Club (with two or three day options available), you will create several items to take home. You’ll be drawing, painting, making and creating using the great British weather as your inspiration.

In this three day holiday club you will work on;

Tuesday - Van Gough inspired storm or sun paintings on board, plus lightning bolt foam symbol / sign creation

Wednesday - Create Rainbow umbrella wax melt graphics style pictures for your wall and create the weather in studio photography portraits

Thursday - Weather adventure! Create 3D characters, and learn to draw dramatic charcoal lightning storms

You will take all your work home with you at the end of the club, including some great final pieces.

No previous experience or skill level is required, but you should be able to work alone and with others, following basic creative instructions. All materials are provided on each day.

The age range for our Half Term Holiday Club is 9-15 yrs, so some activities will have different levels of difficulty to engage all levels of experience. You will be placed into age related groups (9-11 yrs & 12-15 yrs) so that you can be in a studio area with others your own age.
