<p>Mark built a career as a Corporate Finance partner at PKF Francis Clark, where he was also responsible for developing their international network PKF and leading an internal change programme. His international duties included arranging trade visits to China and building close links with Australian, European and American firms.</p> <p>Mark is a non-executive director at Delt Shared Services, a back office shared services business jointly owned by Plymouth City Council and Devon ICB. He also hosts a podcast series called Business Noodles.</p> <p>Mark has advised on many high profile deals such as the Management Buy-Out of Sutton Seeds and Plessey Semiconductors. He also led the sale of Goonvean’s clay operations to Imerys SA.</p> <p>Unusually for the 1980s, Mark entered the accountancy profession without a degree, only later studying for an MBA from Warwick University. He therefore is a keen advocate for lifelong learning and equality in education.</p> <p>Mark is a keen traveller and has been to many places around the world from South Africa to Norway and Japan to Alaska. He also managed to walk across Beirut in the relatively short period of peace the city enjoyed in 2005. Mark is also a keen theatre and cinema fan, regularly attending productions in Plymouth but also in London and abroad in New York and San Francisco.</p>
