Dr Amila Ramovic

<p dir="ltr">Dr Amila Ramović is a Curator, Art Producer and Professor at the Academy of Music and Academy of Film at the University of Sarajevo in Bosnia-Herzegovina.</p> <p dir="ltr">Her dedication to creating conditions for the development of Sarajevo’s art scene began in 2000 through her role in the Ars Aevi Project Sarajevo. She organised the first Pavilion of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Venice Biennale in 2003. She holds a PhD in musicology, was the Executive Director of the Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival, and is President of the Musicological Society of BiH. Amila has been a committed promoter of Sarajevo as a future regional centre for contemporary arts.</p> <p dir="ltr">Arts University Plymouth awarded an Honorary Fellowship to Dr Amila Ramović in 2019 in recognition of her significant contribution to the arts, arts education, and cultural leadership, through her courage and resilience in developing the Ars Aevi Museum of Contemporary Art and other art initiatives as a catalyst for creative learning and social justice in post-war Bosnia-Herzegovina.<br /></p>
